Mim’s Missives

It’s been ages since I’ve posted. Life is just very busy these days. But Mike is on the grid today cleaning Uutuku, our 19′ West Wight Potter. I’ve uploaded photos to my Picassa web album as it’s much quicker than doing that here. Here’s the link.

We’ve been out sailing on the weekends the last couple of weeks and Mike has been out now and then on weekdays. He’s done lots of work on the boat this spring. The main changes have been bringing the halyards into the cockpit, being able to lower the jib from the cockpit, and adding a lazy jack to the main sail so it doesn’t spill all over the deck when lowering the sail. Oh, and installing a wonderful new rudder and tiller. Look for the closeup photo on Picassa.

Memorial Day Weekend we, most of the family, head to Kanga Bay, near Redoubt, where we have rented a Forest Service cabin for 3 nights. Mike and I will stay on Uutuku but will transport Mary and her family. Pray for good weather!
