Wrangell, Alaska
F/V Tillicum
I had the opportunity recently to visit lovely Wrangell, a small, isolated village in Southeast Alaska, situated at the entrance to the mighty Stikine River. The water, colored by the silt flowing down river from melting glaciers, is an amazing blue-green, reminiscent of the Caribbean, but not the same clarity. The people are friendly, the community close-knit. I was there during an unexpected stretch of good weather, as my images reflect. I was able to get out frequently and enjoy it.
